We are facing an epidemic of pornography on the net of which the repercussions are still not fully understood. In fact it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, at any time can view porn online.

Governments are still tied up by the “it is a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the theory that porn is victimless entertainment that involves only an individual and the consenting adults who participate. Regulations has yet to meet up with reality and with technology. In a global where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the web is becoming filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that no one should be exposed to, aside from our children!

A written report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that people will pay the price because of this.

Porn is teaching negative behaviors and attitudes towards sexuality. Even though for adults this is often a big problem, for children which are seeing it, it is just a disaster that may impact their capability to have almost any healthy sexual relationship if they grow up.
